About the 2026

Big Blue Cancer Blast

The 9th Annual Big Blue Cancer Blast takes place on September 14, 2026 at the Bluegrass Sportsman's League (BGSL)

BGSL is a beautiful 1,400 acre facility just south of Wilmore, right in the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass.

How can you participate?

  • Form a team with friends or co-workers.
  • Reward top employees with a team
  • Bring a team of clients or customers.

The Big Blue Cancer Blast is a great day for a great cause. No matter who you are shooting with you will be furthering the efforts of the UK Markey Cancer Center, a place like no other and a beacon of hope to those battling cancer.

4-Person Team: $1,500

You can choose a morning or afternoon session. Lunch is served at 11:30am, so COME HUNGRY!

Individual Shooter: $400

No team? Not a problem! We will squad you with another group!

Big Blue Cancer Blast Schedule

09:00 - 11:00

Morning Shoot

Registration opens at 7:30. There will be a meeting for Housekeeping Details and Safety Briefing under the Pavilion at 8:30. Shooting starts at 9:00am. Lunch directly after at 11:30am!

11:30 - 12:30

Lunch

Served from 11:30 – 12:30. If you have had a Bayou Bluegrass meal in the past you already know you are in for a treat. Be sure and try the Cajun Catfish Bites.

13:15 - 15:00

Afternoon Shoot

Registration opens at 10:00am. There will be a meeting for Housekeeping Details and Safety Briefing under the Pavilion at 12:45pm. Shooting starts at 1:15pm.
